TruePoints — loyalty points without the meter
A Shopify loyalty program that grows with your store instead of billing you for it. Customers earn on every paid order and redeem for real discount codes — on any Shopify plan.
Flat pricing, permanently. No order limits. No per-member pricing. No overage fees. Your bill does not change because you had a good month.
Why we built it
Loyalty apps are priced on the one thing you are trying to increase. The common pattern is a tier that covers a few hundred orders a month, then overage charges on top — so the more successful your program is, the more it costs to keep running. That is a strange incentive to accept from software whose job is to make people order more often.
Underneath, a points program is a ledger: add points when someone buys, take them back on a refund, subtract them when someone redeems. That work does not get more expensive as the numbers get bigger. So TruePoints does not charge as if it does.
How it works
Earning
You set a rate — say 5 points per $1. Every paid order awards points on the order subtotal, after discounts and before shipping and tax. Orders with no customer attached earn nothing. New customers can get a signup bonus on their first order.
Refunds
Refunds claw points back automatically and proportionally: refund half an order and half the points come back. If the customer already spent them, the balance stops at zero instead of going negative, and the shortfall is recorded in the ledger.
Redeeming
Add the rewards block to a page in your theme. Signed-in customers see their balance and what it can buy. Redeeming mints a genuine Shopify discount code — single-use and scoped to that customer, so it cannot be shared or reused — and applies it to their cart in one click.
Switching from Smile, LoyaltyLion or Yotpo
Migrating a loyalty program means moving a liability: your customers were promised those points. TruePoints imports balances from a customer export so nobody loses anything.
- It detects the source format and shows you exactly which column it read as the balance before a single point is written.
- It refuses files that only contain lifetime totals, because importing those would over-credit every customer in your store.
- It never guesses at identity — rows that do not match a real customer are reported, not approximated.
Your data stays yours
Export your complete member list and full points history as CSV at any time, on every plan including Free. The members file re-imports into any TruePoints store, so leaving is a paste rather than a support ticket. We think "you can always leave" is only true when leaving is free.

Questions
Does TruePoints charge more as my store grows?
No. Plans are flat — no order limits, no per-member pricing, no overage fees.
Do I need Shopify Plus for customers to redeem?
No. Redemption issues a real single-use discount code scoped to that customer, which works on every Shopify plan. No checkout extension, no upgrade.
Can I bring balances from my current loyalty app?
Yes — from Smile, LoyaltyLion, Yotpo or any CSV with an email and a points balance. You see the column mapping before anything is applied.
What happens on a refund?
Points are clawed back in proportion to the refund. If they were already spent, the balance stops at zero rather than going negative.
Can I export my data?
Yes, on every plan including Free — the full member list and the complete ledger, any time.
